4 Tips for effectively re-launching your website

There comes a time when a business needs to revamp and re-launch their website. Keeping up with all the advances that influence your business contributes positively to your overall brand image. An outdated website sends the wrong impression to prospects when visiting your website. No consumer would spend money on a brand that is not current. Re-launching your website might seem overwhelming. Fortunately, here are some helpful tips to follow that will make your re-launch go smoothly:

 

  1. Create a standard

Before launching the re-design of your website, be sure to familiarize yourself with your site’s traffic, bounce rate and other statistics so you have a clear image of how successful or unsuccessful your re-launch is. Set goals for this project. What do you hope to accomplish with your re-launch? Do you want more traffic, more visitors to convert into customers? Whatever your goals, write them down and create a strategy on how to obtain them.

  1. Prepare existing customers for the transformation

The loyal followers on your website deserve to know before anyone else that you are revamping and relaunching your site. Earn brownie points by sending a short email to your followers. Let them know you are in the process of redesigning, why you chose to do so, what you hope to accomplish with the redesign and when they can expect to see the new look.

  1. Content upgrade

Give your website a boost with updating your content. Fix any issues, such as broken links or outdated content. Bump up the older (but still popular) articles to the top and tweak any information that may not still apply to your article today. Do not forget that SEO still matters. There are so many factors that contribute to your website ranking and how many people visit your site. So make sure to do some basic keyword research.

  1. Blast out your new branding

Ensure that your new branding applies to your branding on all platforms you use for your business. Update your social media headers and profile images. Consistency across all platforms leaves a lasting impression when discovered by new prospects.

 

A re-launch is a bold move for any business to make, but it can also be exciting for both the website owner and site visitors. It is a chance to look at things from a different perspective. By implementing these tips, you’ll have a much more successful re-launch and a site that will be sure to impress its visitors.
