How CRM systems can boost marketing campaigns

 

There are still marketers out there who work with lists of customer and prospect information on spreadsheets and use Outlook for mass distribution of emails to them. These tools are really not sufficient when wanting to be really efficient in your marketing efforts. Here are three ways a CRM system can help your marketing efforts and give you more effective campaigns:

 

  1. Segmentation

Do you know how many customers you have in each district or how many prospects you have in your sales pipeline? Dividing your customer base into segments will help eliminate the risk of sending the same message to your entire database that could then result in a low opening rate for your mailers. The foundation for effective marketing is good data quality. Get as much information on an individual or company and keep it updated. Maintaining good database quality typically means that your data is properly structured and this will make it easier to take out selections in your CRM system that are target specific.

 

  1. Campaign management

The amount of e-mails, documents and activities involved in a campaign can be overwhelming for the average person. In your CRM system, creating a campaign and then adding all information about the campaign, such as documents, e-mails and activities will increase efficiency when completing a task for this specific campaign. For example, a weekly meeting can be added to the campaign so that all the people concerned can work together on the campaign and find the latest information so that they can be prepared for the meeting.

 

  1. Automization

With the right tools you can save a lot of time on administration while increasing your efficiency in the workplace. A CRM system gives you instant access to all of your customer and prospect information and the nifty marketing tools make managing your campaigns a breeze.

 

Good CRM systems let you review consumer interactions, manage client data and identify areas where your relationship with customers needs to improve. The CRM tools help you understand how each individual customer encounters and engages with your marketing campaign and also allows you to target each potential customer with marketing content designed specifically for them.
